  • 1. Trekking

Kodachadri Hill acts as a base for the waterfalls, and it is a primary trekking route taken to the Hidlumane falls. The journey involves steep slopes and dense forest, thus, making it an adventurous one. The peak also offers beautiful sunrises and sunset, and stunning morning sky with millions of hues. Nonetheless, it involves crossing rocks and steep hills. But trekking across the dense forest enclosed by green canvas, entertained by colourful birds with rhythmic chirping make the trek more gleeful than challenging. During the monsoon season, the trail gets dangerous as the rain makes the rocks slippery, making it hard for tourists to enjoy the trek.

  • 2. Explore the Mookambika National Park

Located a few hundred meters away from the main attraction, the Mookambika National Park is a forest reserve which offers a diverse variety of flora and fauna. It is home to more than 60 rare species of plants and 80 species of animals. A visit to this national park will connect you with nature and will leave you wanting for more.

It is a popular excursion point for families in and around Shimoga and also a perfect trekking spot for thrill-seekers.
